Uzbek enterprise has launched the production of broccoli puree

The private enterprise “Anzur natural food” from the Kashkadarya region of Uzbekistan set up the handling and processing of broccoli. The company exports its products both fresh and frozen. Now the enterprise has also launched the production of broccoli puree, EastFruit experts report.

The company buys broccoli as a raw material from all regions of the republic. The daily production capacity of the enterprise is 35 tonnes, of which 20 tonnes are fresh and 15 tonnes are frozen. Anzur natural food exports its products to Europe and Asia, according to the press service of the Ministry of Agriculture.

In addition, the enterprise has recently launched the production of broccoli puree and supplies it to the Russian market.

The private enterprise plans to double its production capacity in 2023. Currently, the company employs 280 people, including 70 permanent and 210 seasonal workers. In the future, it is planned to increase the number of employees to 500 people.

EastFruit wrote at the end of September that the demand for broccoli as well as the volume of exports has recently been growing in the domestic market of Uzbekistan. For the harvest of 2022, broccoli was planted on 1 900 ha, and the projected production of broccoli this year is 37 600 tonnes.

Currently, broccoli varieties such as Agassi F1, Ironman F1, Atlantis F1, Heraklion F1, Quinta F1, Naxos F1, Marathon F1, Tiburon F1, Fiesta F1 are grown in Uzbekistan.

According to preliminary official data, Uzbekistan exported 14 800 tonnes of cauliflower and broccoli in January-October 2022, which is 1.8 times more than in the same period in 2021 and 1.6 times more than in the same period of 2020, EastFruit experts say.
