“Sady Dnipra” (Ukraine) will continue to increase the area of orchards

In the Ukrainian company “Sady Dnipra” (Dnipro region), which sells products under the TM UApple, apple tree seedlings planted in spring have taken root and are developing well. Farmers plan to further increase the area of gardens in the fall and spring of 2024.

This year, the horticultural company expanded its apple orchards by 21 hectares. An innovative variety was planted, Gala RKD, known for its early harvest. The seedlings were brought from France, EastFruit reports with reference to a Facebook post by Vadim Ermolaev, business owner and Chairman of the Board of Alef Corporation.

“Our orchard is grown using intensive technologies, which doubles its efficiency. Intensive care, drip irrigation under each tree and fertilization, and special technology for pruning and shaping trees are necessary. Those accustomed to seeing apple trees only at their grandmother’s house and not in an industrial garden will most likely be surprised at the absence of spreading branches and a wide crown. It may seem that such a tree cannot bear many fruits, but this impression will be completely reversed when you see such an apple tree in August – abundantly strewn with ideal fruits. We studied technology in the Netherlands – at the very beginning of the founding of Sady Dnipra, we signed a cooperation contract with a consulting company. And now, we can teach a lot ourselves,” the businessman writes.

According to Vadim Ermolaev, the company has new plans for a significant garden expansion this fall and next spring. The director still needs to release the details.
