According to EastFruit, the Ukrainian tomato market is experiencing a positive price trend. Producers attribute this price increase primarily to a reduction in the supply of tomatoes from local farms. Meanwhile, demand for this product remains stable, further supporting prices.
Currently, Ukrainian producers are willing to sell greenhouse tomatoes for no less than 50-60 UAH/kg ($1.21-1.45/kg), which is on average 17% higher than at the end of last week. It can be stated that greenhouse tomatoes in Ukraine are now being sold at the highest prices seen in at least the last seven years.

Representatives of greenhouse complexes note that the significant increase in domestic market demand allows them to raise prices. Local retail chains and wholesale companies are showing growing interest in purchasing these vegetables. Additionally, the price increase is supported by the rising cost of field-grown tomatoes and the limited supply of both open-field and greenhouse products.
It is worth noting that greenhouse tomatoes in Ukraine are now, on average, 2.2 times more expensive than in the first half of September 2023.
