Ukrainian farmers are forced to further reduce selling prices for carrots in the face of increased supply and low demand in this segment, EastFruit project analysts report.
Today, carrots go on sale for no more than 15-20 UAH/kg ($0.41-0.55/kg), which is 31% cheaper on average than at the end of the last working week. Farmers are forced to reduce prices due to very restrained demand for carrots while harvesting work on the farms continues. At the same time, the supply of carrots on the market is noticeably more significant than last year due to the growth in the production of this root crop.

It should be noted that at the moment, carrots in Ukrainian farms are already 22% cheaper than in the same period last year. At the same time, market players do not rule out further price reductions in this segment if the sales of these products do not accelerate.
