According to the Ministry of Agriculture and Food Industry (MAIA), as of the end of November, Moldova has exported apples to 12 countries. Apples will be sent to two more new markets in the near future – to the countries of Southeast Asia. Last season, Moldovan apples were exported to 9 countries.

Around 95% of apple exports this season are still to Russia. At the same time, more than 3 thousand tonnes of apples were exported to Kazakhstan, more than 600 tonnes – to Uzbekistan, and more than 500 tonnes – to Belarus. The volume of apple supplies to Romania has increased – as of the beginning of November, more than 800 tonnes were exported to the Romanian market. Moldovan traders hope that the export of apples, especially of varieties such as Idared, Florina and others will increase significantly in winter.
