Visit Uzbekistan – emerging exporter of fruits and vegetables

EastFruit offer a unique opportunity for people from the fresh produce industry – to visit a truly unique rapidly developing country, combining fruitful business (B2B meetings with largest exporters, local supermarkets, company visits) with tourism (Bukhara, Samarkand). The visit is planned for 15-20 September, 2022 – in the middle of the harvesting season!

  • UNESCO Heritage cities of Bukhara and Samarkand, legendary cities of the Silk Road, are more than 2000 years old and have lots of unique sites to visit, which will look different from anything you have seen thus far (google it now)!

09:00 – 13:00 — Pre-scheduled B2B meetings (15 minutes per company), followed up by lunch

13:30 – 19:00 – Visiting companies involved in production and processing of fruits and vegetables (names of companies TBD) and a wholesale market

17 September, Saturday, (optional, some companies may opt to leave)

07:28 Departure to Samarkand by fast train (2 hrs trip)

10:00 – 14:00 – City Tour

14:00 Lunch in Samarkand

15:00-19:00 – Company visits

19:00 – Dinner with local businessmen

18 September, Sunday

08:00-13:30 – Company visits

13:30-14:30 – Lunch

14:30 – Departure to Bukhara by bus (4:30 hrs trip)

19 September, Monday

09:00 – 13:00 – City tour

13:00-14:00 – Lunch

14:00-20:00 – Company visits followed up by dinner with local businesses

20:00 – Departure to airport. Uzbekistan Airways HY24 flight to Tashkent departing at 22:40 and arriving at 23:40.

20 September, Tuesday

Free time, departers from Tashkent


EastFruit will cover the costs of organizing meetings, meeting venues and local ground transportation, reception in Tashkent and one dinner in Samarkand and Bukhara. All other costs, inclusive of all air travel, meals and accommodation are to be covered by the participants.
