Kazakhstan is implementing a joint project with Turkey on growing and processing fruits worth $204M

In Kazakhstan, together with the Turkish company Göknur Gıda, a large project is planned, aimed at the establishment of intensive orchards and fruit processing. The Minister of Agriculture of the Republic of Kazakhstan Saparkhan Omarov, within the framework of a working visit to Turkey, visited the production facilities of Göknur Gıda in the city of Nigde and discussed with the head of the company the implementation of the project in Kazakhstan. Eldala.kz reports this with reference to the press service of the Ministry of Agriculture.

Saparkhan Omarov got acquainted with the technological line of production of fruit juices, puree, concentrate, and biogas. A similar technological production line is planned to be launched in Kazakhstan.

The project is being implemented jointly with the Embassy of the Republic of Kazakhstan in the Republic of Turkey and the national company Kazakh Invest.

According to the Ministry of Agriculture, Almaty, Zhambyl, and Turkestan regions are being considered as potential regions for the project. The project cost is $ 204 million. The project is expected to create 500 jobs.

Göknur Gıda, founded in 1993, is one of the 500 largest companies in Turkey, which has 2500 hectares of its orchards, five production facilities, fruit storage warehouses in the USA, Europe, China, and other countries. The company’s turnover is $ 130 million.
