In Poland, following the 11th package of EU sanctions against Russia, there has been a tightening of sanctions in the field of road transport, according to EastFruit. The ban on the entry of Russian vehicles into the European Union, which has been in place since April 2022, will apply to trailers and semi-trailers registered in Russia and towing such trailers/semi-trailers by trucks registered in other countries.
EastFruit also reports that today the freight cost in the region is as follows:
Azerbaijan: Freight to Russia increased to $2,500. The cost of freight in Atyrau has decreased to $3,500. Freight cost to Ukraine is $5000.
Georgia: Freight to Russia increased to $3,500. The freight cost from Turkey is $2500. The cost of freight to Belarus has risen to $4,000. Freight costs from Ukraine increased to $5,000. Freight cost from Iran is $2800.
Kazakhstan: Freight cost from Poland reduced to $6,000.
Uzbekistan: Freight to Russia increased to $4,000.
Serbia: Freight rates to Russia are unchanged due to lower export volumes.
Moldova: Freight rates to Russia are unchanged due to lower export volumes. The freight cost to Ukraine and Romania is $1000.
Ukraine: Freight costs from Turkey to Ukraine increased to $5,000. The freight cost from Poland to Kyiv is $2500.
