Turkish Dried Fruit Exports Increased by 29.9% in the First Quarter

According to data compiled from the Southeastern Anatolia Exporters’ Associations (GAİB) by an AA correspondent, the dried fruit and products sector exported 118,738 tons of products to 124 countries and free zones in the first quarter.

Generating $497,639,000 in revenue through exports, representatives of the sector increased their earnings by 29.9% compared to the same period last year, during which $383,124,000 worth of exports were made, Bazaar Times informs.

Seedless grapes lead in revenue The sector earned the highest revenue of $133,284,000 from seedless raisins, followed by $114,450,000 from dried apricots and $86,420,000 from dried figs.

Pistachio producers from Gaziantep, who made sales worth $24,251,000 in the same period last year, increased their sales revenue to $74,054,000 this year.

Europe remains the sector’s largest market European countries were the group of countries to which the sector exported the most, with $192,378,000.

Dried fruit producers made their highest sales of $61,596,000 to Germany. Germany was followed by the United States with $48,402,000, the United Kingdom with $45,661,000, and France with $30,484,000.
