Chilean blueberry exports are up 8.2% this season

Chile’s blueberry export season is almost over. At the end of the 11th week of 2021, the exports of Chilean blueberries since the beginning of the season amounted to 118,225 tons, which is 8.2% more than in the same period in 2020, and 6% higher than the preliminary export forecast published at the beginning of the export season. – 111,500 tons.

Chile’s organic blueberry exports are up 35% in the 2020/21 season. compared with the previous season and amounted to 20,871 tons. The share of organic blueberries in the total export is 18%

The main markets for Chilean blueberries in the 2020/21 season have been:  USA with share around 55% and a 14% increase compared to the previous season. Europe with a share of 34% and an increase of 11% compared to the last season and the Far East -with a share of 10% and a decrease around 27% compared to the last season.
