A record of walnut yield in Ukraine was set in the Odesa region

A yield record of 2.86 t/ha was set in the walnut orchard of Wal-Nut LLC, which is located near the city of Izmail in the Odesa region (Ukraine).

This is reported by AgroTimes with reference to the Facebook page of Gennady Yudin, President of the Ukrainian Nut Association.

A walnut orchard of 91 hectares planted in 2012-2014 set a yield record in Ukraine this year.

“This year’s yield in the walnut orchard was about 2.86 tonnes per hectare – this is now a record for industrial walnut orchard productivity in Ukraine,” the head of the industry association emphasized.

He added that the harvest has grown to 260 tonnes this year. The farm sends its products for export to the EU countries, where the good quality of nuts is highly appreciated.
