Cabbage prices from the new harvest continue to decline rapidly in Ukraine, according to analysts from the EastFruit project. As before, industry experts attribute this price drop to the seasonal increase in supply from local farms. At the same time, the pace of sales remains relatively moderate.
According to experts, there are several reasons behind the price decline. First, following a period of heavy rains, thunderstorms, and hail, weather conditions have stabilized across much of the country. As a result, the volume of 2025 cabbage harvest entering the market has increased. Second, the excessive moisture and heavy precipitation have negatively affected product quality. Farmers report that cabbage quality is beginning to deteriorate.

As of today, most producers are offering new-season cabbage at prices ranging from 13 to 22 UAH/kg ($0.31–0.53/kg), which is on average 38% lower than the prices recorded just a week earlier.
Despite the price collapse, new harvest cabbage is still being sold at Ukrainian markets at prices approximately three times higher than in early June 2024.
