The downward price trend in the segment of greenhouse cucumbers continues on the Ukrainian domestic market. According to the daily monitoring data of the EastFruit project, the increase in harvesting volumes at Ukrainian greenhouse complexes, along with weak demand for greenhouse vegetables, remain the key factors driving negative price dynamics in this segment.
Thus, since the beginning of the current week alone, prices for greenhouse cucumbers in Ukraine have decreased by an average of 40%. At present, this product is traded at UAH 50–90 per kg ($1.14–2.05/kg).

The price decline is primarily driven by excessive supply of greenhouse cucumbers on the market. Local greenhouse producers have moved into the active harvesting phase and continue to supply the market on a steady basis. At the same time, demand for greenhouse vegetables remains fairly restrained, which continues to put additional pressure on prices. As a result, in order to stimulate sales and avoid the accumulation of large volumes of unsold produce in warehouses, sellers are forced to further revise prices downward.

It should be noted that greenhouse cucumbers in Ukraine are still traded on average at prices approximately 15% higher than at the end of April 2025. However, most market participants expect prices for greenhouse products to continue declining in the near future.
