This week, the Ukrainian onion market experienced a decline in wholesale prices, according to analysts at EastFruit. According to producers, the main reason behind the downward price trend was the start of harvesting late onion varieties, which has led to a significant increase in market supply.

As of today, onion prices in Ukraine have fallen to UAH 12-18/kg ($0.27-0.40/kg), which is on average 10% lower than a week earlier. It should be noted that farmers are currently selling mainly onions that are not suitable for long-term storage due to certain quality characteristics.
