The Ministry of Economy, Environment and Agriculture of Ukraine will resume accepting applications for grants to support the development of horticulture, berry production, viticulture, and greenhouse farming starting from February 2, 2026. Applications will be submitted via the Diia portal. The total budget of the program for 2026 amounts to $465 million, the ministry’s press service reported, according to EastFruit citing OpenforBusiness.
“We are resuming one of the key support programs for farmers — grants for orchards and greenhouses. This is not short-term assistance, but an investment in the development of the agricultural sector, job creation in local communities, and increased resilience of production. (…) Our goal is to support producers, stimulate the creation of value-added products, and ensure the sustainable development of rural areas, especially in the context of war and post-war recovery,” emphasized Taras Vysotskyi, Deputy Minister of Economy, Environment and Agriculture.
The Ministry уточнила that grants for orchards can be obtained for planting and establishing plantations with an area ranging from 1 to 25 hectares. The maximum amount of support is up to UAH 10 million per recipient, but no more than UAH 400,000 per hectare. Greenhouse grants are provided for the construction of modular greenhouses with an area from 0.4 to 2.4 hectares. The grant size depends on the area:
-
0.4–0.6 ha — up to UAH 2 million
-
0.8–1.2 ha — up to UAH 3.5 million
-
1.6–2.4 ha — up to UAH 7 million
For projects implemented in frontline and de-occupied territories, the state may cover up to 80% of the project cost. Project implementation must take place on land for which ownership or usage rights are confirmed for a period of at least seven years.
