Since the New Year, 34 more Uzbek enterprises are able to export tomatoes to Russia


Starting from the beginning of 2021, Rosselkhoznadzor (Federal Service for Veterinary Supervision and Phytosanitary Control of the Russian Federation) under the guarantees of the State Plant Quarantine Inspectorate under the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Uzbekistan, has authorized the supply of tomatoes to Russia from 34 Uzbek enterprises.

This decision was possible as the State Plant Quarantine Inspectorate provided information about enterprises free of Tomato brown rugose fruit virus (ToBRFV), according to Kun.uz.

EastFruit has already reported that the Rosselkhoznadzor has allowed the imports of tomatoes and peppers from seven enterprises of Uzbekistan since December 18, 2020. This decision was made based on the results of the analysis of the state of greenhouses in the Fergana region of Uzbekistan.
