Morocco, a leading global supplier of fresh raspberries, has significantly expanded its exports across all major international destinations, setting a new seasonal record, according to EastFruit.
During the 2024/25 season (July–June), the country exported 64,400 metric tons of fresh raspberries, generating $487 million in export revenue. This marks a 13.8% increase over the previous season and surpasses the previous record set in 2022/23 by 9%.
Raspberries are among Morocco’s top fruit and vegetable export items, second only to tomatoes in terms of export revenue in 2024. The Moroccan raspberry export season lasts nearly year-round, with peak overseas sales occurring from November through May. In the 2024/25 season, the highest monthly export volume was recorded in April, when over 10,000 tons of fresh berries were shipped abroad.
The United Kingdom remains the primary destination for Moroccan raspberry exports, accounting for more than 30% of total foreign shipments. Notably, since the 2022/23 season, Morocco has been the number one raspberry supplier to the UK.
Spain and the Netherlands rank second and third in Morocco’s export structure, with shares of 23.4% and 18.4%, respectively. Germany (13.6%) and France (7.9%) round out the top five importers. Together, these five countries account for 94.4% of Morocco’s total raspberry exports. Remarkably, export volumes increased across all five key destinations in the recently concluded season.

It is also worth noting the expansion of Morocco’s raspberry export geography. In the 2024/25 season, 3,500 tons of berries were shipped to other destinations, a 60% increase over the previous season.
Exports to Middle Eastern countries continue to grow. Shipments to Belgium rose 2.5 times. For the second consecutive season, Morocco actively exported raspberries to Austria and Switzerland. Initial trial batches were also sent to Romania and the Kingdom of Eswatini. In total, Moroccan raspberries were exported to 26 countries during the 2024/25 season.
