Prices for greenhouse cucumbers on the Ukrainian market have begun to decline, according to analysts from the EastFruit project. Market operators attribute this situation to a slight increase in the supply of new-season cucumbers from local producers. At the same time, consumer activity in this segment has also started to decrease. According to project experts, almost all stationary greenhouse complexes in Ukraine have already begun selling this product.

As a result of these price adjustments, sales of these vegetables are currently carried out at 125–170 UAH/kg ($2.89–3.93/kg), which is on average 11% cheaper than at the end of last working week.

Another crucial factor contributing to the price decline in this segment has been the weakening demand for greenhouse cucumbers. Wholesale companies and retail chains have reduced their purchase volumes of local cucumbers this week, citing slow retail sales.
It is worth noting that despite the price decrease, Ukrainian greenhouse complexes are offering cucumbers at prices about 50% higher than at the end of February 2025. At the same time, most key market players do not rule out the possibility of further price reductions. They argue that the supply of local products continues to grow daily, while sales remain sluggish.
