Georgia exported approximately 1,900 tonnes of fresh herbs worth $4.5 million during the first six months of 2026, EastFruit reports, citing Business Media.
The figures were published by Georgia’s Ministry of Environmental Protection and Agriculture.
Compared with January–June 2025, the country’s export revenue from fresh herbs increased by 3%.
According to the ministry, herb production in Georgia remains stable at between 7,000 and 8,500 tonnes annually. At the same time, the average export value of the product continues to rise.
In 2025, the average export price of Georgian fresh herbs stood at $2.12 per kilogram. In the first half of 2026, it increased to $2.38 per kilogram, indicating stronger returns for Georgian exporters despite relatively stable production volumes.
Ukraine, Russia, Moldova and Romania remain the main markets for Georgian herbs, alongside several other export destinations.
