Beet Prices in Ukraine Now 2.5 Times Higher Than a Year Ago

The upward trend in table beet prices continues this week in the Ukrainian market. According to analysts from the EastFruit project, the supply of beets of satisfactory quality is rapidly decreasing in Ukraine.

Amid these developments, producers have begun actively raising their selling prices. As of today, table beets are being sold at UAH 22–32/kg ($0.53–0.77/kg), which is on average 16% more expensive than at the end of last week. It is becoming increasingly difficult to purchase large batches of beets on the Ukrainian market. Supermarket chains and wholesale companies are already reporting a shortage of the product, which is not easy to compensate for.
