This week, prices for high-quality carrots in Ukraine have begun to rise again, according to analysts from the EastFruit project. Market participants attribute this trend to strong demand for quality root vegetables amid limited supply. Wholesale companies and retail chains are actively purchasing the product, while vegetable stocks in farm storage facilities are rapidly depleting.
The growing demand has enabled local farmers to raise their selling prices for available batches of carrots. As of now, carrots are being offered at 30–40 UAH/kg ($0.73–0.97/kg), depending on quality and volume—an average increase of 21% compared to the end of last week.

Experts from EastFruit explain the positive price dynamics as a result of the seasonal depletion of high-quality stock. According to market sources, wholesale buyers are increasingly struggling to secure the volumes of premium-quality carrots they require.
It is worth noting that current carrot prices in Ukraine are approximately 4.5 times higher than during the same period last year.
